Always and neverA pediatric cardiologist I worked with today reminded me of this piece of wisdom (from psychologist wendell berry) as we discussed a kid's physical exam findings and possible diagnoses: "Always and never are two words you should always remember never to use." Seems to make so much sense in the field of medicine, where the strongest truisms are always refuted and the mysteries of the mind and body are never wholly understood. Oops.

To the Teeth is a weblog discussing issues of health justice, medicine, race in America,
public health in its broadest sense, healthcare at a local clinic level, and honest discussions around strategies in advocacy. Ok, so it's not so focused, but it's all connected. The regulars who post to this site are:

He created and runs a sustainable and innovative clinic that serves
